Independent Book Awards is dedicated to self-published authors and the Print On Demand services (POD) that make self-publishing convenient, affordable, and profitable. Be it fiction, nonfiction, biographical, poetry or anything in between, we firmly believe that great work should be rewarded – regardless of author fame or notoriety of the publisher.
Independent Book Awards are offerred in sixteen categories. You can see them all under Winners by Category at right. In addition, we also offer awards for indie presses and POD services specified in the nomination application. These are the companies that print and/or fulfill book orders from indy authors. There are hundreds in the US alone with some of the largest being Createspace (owned by Amazon), Lulu, 48 Hr Books, AuthorHouse, iUniverse, etc.
Nomination details:
• Nominations for 2012 will begin being accepted on June 30, 2012.
• Nomination Criteria: Any print or digital/electronic self-published works (multiple titles welcome)
• Cost/Fees: None
• Award Categories: 16 genres/categories
• Digital Submission: Email one PDF (limit 5mb)

* One hard copy is all that is required if recieved at least sixty days before judging is completed (by October 30th as judging wraps up December 31st of each year). If recieved with less time for judges to share a single copy, please send multiples. Please send no more than three to minimize your costs.

If you are – or know of – a self-published author worthy of an Independent Book Award, please feel free to make a nomination. There are no fees.
